Designing the FLATstrap

Designing the FLATstrap – An Innovation in Chest Shapewear

The FLATstrap was born from a simple problem: the garment eppchez needed did not exist.

As a performer, designer, and artist exploring historical and contemporary gender expression, eppchez spent years thinking about how clothing shapes comfort, confidence, and presentation. Existing compression garments felt bulky, restrictive, or overbuilt for everyday wear. The goal became clear: create something lighter, simpler, and more comfortable.

The idea started with a question: What would chest support feel like if it worked with the body instead of against it?

The answer was surprisingly intuitive. Gentle, balanced tension that guides tissue back and to the sides.

Inspired by historical clothing techniques, community feedback, and years of experimentation with materials and garment construction, eppchez developed a minimal support garment created for comfort, flexibility, and personal expression.

The FLATstrap is the result: a lightweight undergarment created to help shape silhouettes with less fabric, less restriction, and more freedom of movement.

At darbgarb.com, we experiment, prototype, and invent. At euphorm.co We manufacture and distribute those designs that must be widely shared.
